Music in Camera

I have a new exhibition of 18 of my music images running until 10 June at the Turner Sims Concert Hall on the main campus at Southampton University. It is a pretty eclectic mix with jazz greats such as Jack de Johnette and Branford Marsalis, running through to new stars like the great trumpeter Christian Scott and pianist Robert Glasper. Thrown in for good measure are pop idol Lemar and country singer Nell Bryden amongst others. You can order signed prints from the gallery or through my web site. Featured below is avant garde tenor player Evan Parker.

Whilst on the University campus why not take a look at the Andy Warhol photographic exhibition in the John Hansard Gallery which is immediately behind the Turner Sims, and has some great images of Warhol by Robert Mapplethorpe?

About Gerry Walden

I am a stock photographer with far more years of experience than I would care to mention. Located in Southampton (UK) I am sandwiched between two national parks and my home town is a major seaport. I shoot mostly people related images, and travel when I can. I am resident photographer at a major concert venue in the town which means I get to shoot a variety of musicians.
