Users of Fujifilm’s excellent X-series cameras with Lightroom 5.4 now have an added bonus when shooting camera raw (i.e. .RAF) files. You can now apply the camera presets that you would apply in-camera if shooting .jpeg files to your raw files either on import or at any stage during your post-processing.
If you want to do this when importing go to the right hand side of the import screen and select your chosen preset from the ‘Develop Settings’ drop-down menu under the ‘Apply During Import’ dialog box (see screenshot below). Alternatively if you want to do it to any image or batch of images during post-processing then you need to go to the ‘Camera Calibrations’ settings at the bottom of the right-hand column in the ‘Develop’ module. This again is illustrated in a screen-shot below. The great thing is that if you change your mind at any time you can easily select another preset, or even do a virtual copy (cmd+’ or ctrl+’) and apply a different preset to each image. Have fun, and get the best out of your images!
